FAQs

What’s going on?

CMF is remodeling our sanctuary starting November 3, 2025 in order to update, replace old equipment and structures, and make more space.

Where is CMF worshiping while our sanctuary is closed during construction.

CMF is worshiping at 100 Mahoning Street, Milton, PA starting on Sunday, November 2, the former location of Trinity Lutheran Church.

What time will our services be?

9:15 am. Our normal service time will not change. No Sunday School or coffee time.

How long will we be in our temporary location?

There is no precise time-frame given, but we expect about 4 months.

Where do we park downtown? The parking lot at Trinity does not seem big enough.

Please save the lot at Trinity for elderly and those that have more difficulty walking.

We may use the section of St. Andrews parking lot furthest from the church building. We may also use ConAgra’s parking across the street, south from St. Andrews. See a map here.

Due to traffic, we recommend exiting the Trinity church lot onto Garfield, not Mahoning.

Will Sunday School be held in the temporary location?

There will be no Sunday School in the temporary location for any age group. In order to accommodate your ongoing efforts to maintain community we are providing new small groups built around various seasons of life. Please speak with Pastor Nigel to get details.

What about children’s programming?

The nursery, Children’s Church (both upstairs), and CC Boom (in the downstairs fellowship area) will continue while we are at our temporary location. In addition, Children’s activities (including teaching times for the children) will be held in the gym at CMF from time to time. Finally, an adapted form of the regular children’s Sunday School curriculum is being provided to small groups that include families with children and also to all parents so spiritual nurture may continue. Watch the infolink or speak with our children’s minister Amy for details.

Will we still be able to participate in worship via our streaming service online?

Yes, we are working to make streaming available.

Where will my small group, Bible study group, children’s activities, youth activities, etc. meet?

Many of our regular ministries will continue being held at CMF. We still have access to the lower level and the upper level while the main level is being renovated. Some activities will be held in these accessible areas. For details keep your eye open for announcements or call the church office.

Where do we park and enter at CMF?

Enter CMF downstairs at the office entrance and use the stairs or elevator to reach the third floor. For activities held in the gym, the gym entrance will also be available. Parking is available in all three lots. In the west lot, be cautious of and avoid the construction area and vehicles. Please depend upon the leader of your ministry to explain details of entry for events. See a map here.

Once we’re inside CMF, how can we navigate the CMF building to avoid construction areas?

All our staircases will be open to access the upper floor and the lower floor. The elevator may be used to access both those areas as well. For gym related activities, the gym door on the west side of the building will be used. Please avoid the main level lobby, sanctuary and hallways. See a parking map here.

Is the preschool continuing to meet at CMF?

Yes, the third floor and the gym are generally still usable.

How will we get our mail?

The mailboxes will not be accessible during construction, but they will be here when we come back. Please expect to receive communique’s in the meantime at the temporary location, through email, and on the website. We will do our best to communicate well during this interruption in our normal channels.

Will we be able to duck in to CMF during construction and see the progress in our own building?

Unfortunately, not. Insurance does not allow anyone besides contract workers in the construction area. We will take pictures to give updates about progress. We will organize several tours a little later, watch for dates/times.

What is happening to the banners in the sanctuary?

The banners are being gifted to the family of the person who crafted them.
