The Fellowship Ministry of Community Mennonite Fellowship seeks to provide opportunities for fellowship, relationship building, and comfort through meals, shared activities, common interests and recreation.
We believe fellowship with God includes interacting and having fellowship with God’s people, allowing our love for God to overflow in our relationship with others.
I John 1:7 – “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Our goal is to keep the kitchen clean and well-supplied. If you have suggestions for special equipment or utensils that would be useful, please let us know. We welcome your help in making this goal happen…thank you!
These meals are generally held on the 2nd Sunday of the month. There may be an alternative fellowship activity in lieu of the meal on some months throughout the year. Fellowship meals provide a wonderful opportunity to visit with your church family. Unless otherwise requested, we ask each family bring two dishes to be shared – a main dish and a salad or side dish or dessert. The kitchen is equipped with a warmer, so we ask that hot foods are brought to the kitchen already baked and placed in the warmer. Crock pots also work well. We can use volunteers in the kitchen to help to set up, receive food items and clean up after the meal.
These meals are provided for all CMF attendees by Fellowship Ministries. We also often provide drinks and light refreshments for the family during the viewing. We accept donations of baked goods, salads and other food items during these times.
International Food meals, Chicken BBQ, Pig Roast and Pool parties are held throughout the year, as advertised in the info-link or by flyers in church mailboxes.
