We understand our congregation to be broader than just those who gather for worship on Sunday mornings.  God is calling us to extend love and ministry to all persons with whom He has granted us the opportunity of relationship.  Therefore, we are committed to inviting both those who are followers of Christ and those who are not, the convinced and the unconvinced, to these steps in “Becoming Faithful Followers of Jesus Christ“:

To become WORSHIPERS by deepening our SPIRITUALITY:

We purpose to know God through Jesus Christ, to love Him passionately, to prayerfully live in daily relationship with Him, and to worship Him with heart-felt expression, both individually and corporately.

We purpose to care for each other in our congregation with the unconditional love of Jesus, to encourage each other in our faith journeys and to grow in spiritual unity.

To become DISCIPLES by growing toward MATURITY:

We purpose to be transformed more and more into the likeness of Christ through the truth of God’s Word, the discipline of prayer, the refining work of accountable relationships, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

To become MINISTERS by engaging in SERVICE:

We purpose to demonstrate the love of God by using our spiritual gifts and responding to promptings of the Holy Spirit, to generously meet the needs of others and work for peace and justice, within our church, throughout our communities and in more distant areas of need.

To become MESSENGERS by embracing FAITH-SHARING:

We purpose to participate in the mission of God in the world by sharing the spiritual truths and personal experiences of our faith with persons who do not know Christ, and by supporting those who are called to this in local, distant, and cross-cultural settings.
